Here we begin our struggle to bring back the power of parents

to Pittsburg's public schools.

We are encouraging parents to take a more active role in the direction of our children's education, developing more structured and affective means of communication, to establish a partnership between parents and teachers.

The board of Education by definition should be a learning processes for all involved. 

The Parent Project hopes to help parents more clearly define their place and power by challenging the routine procedures that often and purposely complicates and confuses parents. 

There is NO PARENT REPRESENTATION at Pittsburg Unified. So despite their winning smiles they work for and represent the district and not your personal interests. 

This is a clear conflict of interest. The Parent Project is asking you to join us in enforcing that the City of Pittsburg organize and support efforts to moblize parents, establish touchstone organization that will treats parents and their concerns with respect.

Alone you are only one voice. Together we are a powerful collective force to be reckoned with!

Don't give let PUSD divorce you from being the decision maker of you and your child's future. Insist on being fully informed and demand you place at the table!

Without you, they are a group of people passing papers back and fourth.

You and your child are their SOLE clients tell them what you want and expect and stop letting them tell you what you will get and how much you will love it.
